| Today’s world faces an ever growing environmental challenge. The rapidly escalating increase in both energy prices and greenhouse gas emissions is a global issue. Furthermore, demand for energy from China, India and Brazil is surging. On February 27, 2008, the book Financing Energy Efficiency: Lessons from Brazil, China, India, and Beyond , was launched at the World Bank headquarters in Washington, D.C.
