| On May 20, 2009, authors of the book” Two Billion Cars: Driving toward Sustainability” held a presentation at the World Bank to discuss their research concerning the global oil and auto industries in the United States. Deborah Gordon, Policy Consultant of Transportation, Energy and Environment and Daniel Sperling, Professor of Engineering and Environmental Science and Policy at the University of California Davis were featured discussants, and Ranjan Bose, Senior Energy Specialist of the World Bank provided impressions of the book. The session was facilitated by Andreas Kopp, Lead Transport Economist at the World Bank. |
