GENDER PARITY IN WORLD BANK GROUP MANAGEMENT

Reaching gender parity among female management is among the World Bank’s list of staffing priorities. By 2012, the Bank aspires to fulfill 50% of managerial roles by female staff. In the event “Gender Parity in World Bank Group Management: Creating an Environment for Success,” author Anna Fels (Necessary Dreams: Ambition for Women’s Changing Lives) presented current trends in programs offered to women and families at the World Bank. Juliana Oyegun, Chief Diversity Officer of the World Bank’s Office of Diversity Programs and Ann Jeannette Glauber, Co-Chair of the World Bank’s Staff Association Family Issues Group introduced the session. The event took place June 29, 2009.
