On July 28, 2009, the World Bank’s PREM Network (Poverty Reduction and Economic Management) welcomed Harvard Economics Professor Philippe Aghion to discuss comparative views of economic development growth theories. The extremely well attended presentation was the first in the PREM Seminar Series for the new Fiscal Year FY10. The session was prefaced with opening remarks by PREM Vice-President Otaviano Canuto and also featured a virtual audience from the Bank’s Brazil team.
