| In recognition of a full range of World Bank programs, the Independence Evaluation Group (IEG) held its annual Good Practice Awards on September 29, 2009. IEG Director General Vinod Thomas prefaced the ceremony wherein which World Bank country, sector, and global projects were presented by division managers and project leaders. Cheryl Gray, IEG Director moderated the awards presentation. Welcoming remarks were given by Giovanni Majnoni, Director of the Bank’s Development Effectiveness Group, and Jeffrey Gutman, Vice President of the World Bank’s Office of the President. |
