Event Title: SUSTAINING PARTICIPATION IN POVERTY REDUCTION STRATEGIES Date: 2005-05-02 - 2005-05-02 The Poverty Reduction Group, the World Bank Institute and the Social Development Department brought together representatives of civil society, government, media, the World Bank, and various non-governmental organizations on May 2, 2005, in Accra, Ghana, to discuss sustaining participation in poverty reduction strategies (PRS). The purpose of PRS Day was to provide a platform for stakeholders to highlight good practice from PRS implementation, share experiences, facilitate regional and cross-sectoral coalition building, and develop politically-feasible approaches for sustaining stakeholder participation in PRS monitoring and implementation.
