| By creating an alternative to government sponsorship for entrepreneurs, a developed system of finance and credit could be a necessary tool in lifting African countries out of poverty. Such a system also reduces risk and provides opportunities for savings for the poor. In this presentation, sponsored by the World Bank Infoshop and the Africa Finance and Private Sector Department, panelists examine a new book that offers an analysis of the finance situation in Africa, titled Making Finance Work for Africa. |
