During this videoconference, participants discussed the needs and priorities within current e-development programs in Armenia. They also presented examples of good practices from other countries in implementing and mainstreaming e-development. The participants described various e-development efforts in Armenia and the need for new initiatives by the World Bank and other development partners. The dialogue also focused on identifying ways to build effective leadership and institutional capacity for implementing e-development programs in Armenia in areas such as e-government, e-business, and rural e-development.
The videoconference connected World Bank staff and external partners in Washington, DC with representatives of the Armenian Government, donor community, private sector, and NGOs at the World Bank Armenia Office. Participants also were connected from the World Bank Country Offices in Georgia and Russia.
