ANNOUNCEMENT: PPP
DAYS 2010
The fourth annual PPP Days global conference will be
held on March
22-23, 2010 in Manila, Philippines, as a collaboration
between the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank Institute. PPP
Days is a global meeting of public sector PPP practitioners, providing
a central platform to exchange knowledge and to share insights on new
developments in the PPP practice.
PPP Days 2010 will highlight PPPs in a changing global
environment, examining how the public sector has responded and private
sector players have adapted to the financial crisis, and discussing
what governments will need to do to ensure deals continue to be
financed and represent value for money. The conference will feature:
- Best
practices from the most active PPP programs over the past year, in
light of the global financial crisis. Senior public officials and
leaders from the private sector will share their perspective on
what is needed to ensure continued private sector interest.
- Emerging
challenges for PPP practitioners addressing important policy
drivers at the global, national and local levels which are
reshaping infrastructure and public service priorities for
governments worldwide at all jurisdictional levels. Key policy
issues in urban space, health, water supply and resources in PPPs
will be covered. A series of optional site visits will engage participants
with PPP project development in Metro Manila.
Please note that the meeting is invitation only,
official invitations are subject to World Bank and Asian Development
Bank clearance procedures. For more information please contact us at
