Welcome to the Web-portal for the Global Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in Infrastructure!

Key Documents

As more governments are turning to the private sector for the delivery of infrastructure services, the need for in-house capacity to approve, manage, and administer an increasing number of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects becomes more imperative than ever. And while PPP agencies confront strikingly similar legal, financial, and technical obstacles on a daily basis, so far, knowledge sharing and information exchange has been conducted on a bilateral or regional basis, usually among countries at the same level of economic development. The World Bank Institute is the first development institution to bring together PPP leaders from both developed and developing countries and provide the floor for sharing experiences of latest trends, lessons learned, and the future of private participation in social and network infrastructure.

The Global PPPI Portal has been developed in order to accommodate the demand for a more organized and systematic PPP network, as requested by the participants of the first PPPI Days in June 2006. We are positive that the portal’s virtual library of documents, e-discussion forum, calendar of events, and other functions will improve the connection of remote PPP professionals around the world and enhance the global PPP knowledge economy.
