| On April 18th, 2008, the International Trade Department and Development Prospects Group of the World Bank presented an event to launch a new book entitled A Handbook of International Trade in Services , edited by Aaditya Mattoo, Robert M. Stern and Gianni Zanini. The panel was chaired by Roumeen Islam, Manager of the World Bank Institute’s Poverty Reduction and Economic Management Division. The panel reviewed and elaborated on the book’s related points regarding international trade services, service negotiations, The General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS), The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) and The World Trade Organization (WTO). |
