Event Title:
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON GOVERNANCE AND ACCOUNTABILITY IN SOCIAL SECTOR DECENTRALIZATION
Date: 2004-02-18 - 2004-02-19
Despite the extensive global experience in the devolution and decentralization of social services, little is known about how to improve governance, strengthen accountability, enhance equity and efficiency, or improve service quality. During this event, new empirical evidence and best practice from developed and developing countries in managing decentralization was presented. Participants discussed how these issues can be incorporated into analytic and project work.
