Title:
CONNECTING TO COMPETE: TRADE LOGISTICS IN THE GLOBAL ECONOMY |
| Date:

- 2007-11-07 |
| In today’s globalized world, whether a country is able to move goods quickly, cost effectively and reliably across borders largely determines their degree of inclusion in the global markets. The Logistics Performance Index (LPI) is the first comprehensive tool which measures a country’s logistics performance along its supply chain. Through extensive collaboration with the private sector and a worldwide survey of global freight forwarders and express carriers this report details logistics performance over 150 countries. The event “Connecting to Compete: Trade Logistics in the Global Economy”, presented at the World Bank headquarters on November 7, brought together authors and experts to discuss the report and its relevance and applicability to the global economy. |
