Event Title: INTERNATIONAL DISABILITY CONFERENCE 2004 Date: 11/30/2004 - 12/1/2004 On Tuesday, November 30th and Wednesday, December 30th, the Bank hosted the Conference on Disability and Inclusive Development. The two-day conference covered wide ranging discussions on disability and development. Among the issues to be addressed are the impact of the disabled on poverty reduction and economic development initiatives, disability challenges in developing countries, and integrating disability issues in both the Bank s lending and project work and it s client countries policy making. The conference also seeks to take stock of progress made since the Bank s first Disability and Development Conference in 2002.
