GAYATRI
ACHARYA is an Economist with the World Bank.
She
has a BA in Economics from Smith College, Massachusetts,
an M.Sc. in Natural Resource Management from the Asian
Institute of Technology, Thailand and a Ph.D. in Environmental
Economics from the University of York, England.
Prior
to joining the World Bank, she was a post-
doctoral researcher and visiting lecturer in Natural
Resource Economics at the School of Forestry and Environmental
Studies, Yale University. She currently works with
the Africa Region's ESSD department on issues of environment,
social and
rural development.
