M. Wright
Associate Director
Risk Management
Board of Governors of the Federal
Reserve System
Mr.
Wright is responsible for undertaking
and coordinating risk management
initiatives as they arise in the
Federal Reserve Systems ongoing
supervision of institutions. He oversees
the development of supervisory policies
and guidance for evaluating banking
credit, market and operational risks
and the overall adequacy of bank
risk management systems. Recent work
has focused on Basel internal ratings
implementation initiatives that more
fully integrate evaluations of bank
internal ratings systems into the
Federal Reserves supervision
program. In addition to these initiatives,
Mr. Wright keeps the Board of Governors
and System supervisory personnel
informed as significant risk trends,
issues or potential concerns emerge.
Prior
to joining the Federal Reserve in
1991, Mr. Wright was a Vice President
with the First Boston Corporation,
where he specialized in mergers and
acquisitions and corporate valuations.
Mr. Wright received a B.A. from Wake
Forest University and M.B.A from
the College of William and Mary.
