Javier
Bolzico is an economist graduated from the National
University of Cordoba. He studied a Master in
Economy and a Ph.D. in Economy in the University
of CEMA (Argentina). He attended specialization
courses in monetary, financial and bank supervision
issues, in the Bank of England, the Bank of
Switzerland and in the Toronto Center.
From
1995 to 1996 he was Executive Deputy President
of the Bank of Santa Fe. In 1997 he was designated
member of the Board of the Central Bank of Argentina,
until January 2001. During his mandate as Director,
he was Deputy Superintendent and Superintendent
of Financial and Exchange Entities. From 2001
until 2002 he was CEO of Patagon Argentina,
subsidiary of Bank Santander. He is currently
CEO and Senior Partner of Fit & Proper consulting.
Javier
Bolzico has both knowledge and experience in
issues related to monetary policy, central banking
and bank supervision. He participated in the
design and was in charge of the bank resolution
scheme implemented in Argentina during the 1990s.
He was a member of the Liason Group of the Basel
Committee, where he worked in issues connected
with bank regulation. He has a vast experience
in bank capitalization schemes and deposits
insurance. Moreover, he was a member of the
Constitutive Assembly of ASBA.
Javier
Bolzico has an ample experience in international
consulting. During the last 5 years he has worked
for international organisms as the IMF, World
Bank, CAF and for different governments of Central
and Latin America. He also has some experience
in Asia.
