Mr.
Quintyn has a long record of service to the
International Monetary Fund, where he currently
works as Deputy Division Chief for Systemic
Banking Issues in the Monetary and Exchange
Affairs Department. Previous positions at the
IMF include: Senior Economist, Economist, and
Consultant in the Monetary and Exchange Affairs
Department. Mr. Quintyn has taught at the University
of Ghent in Belgium, where he was Assistant
Professor in International Economics and in
Monetary Economics, as well as at the University
of Limburg, Belgium. He has also served in the
Research Department of the National Bank of
Belgium. Mr. Quintyn served as Secretary and
Research Fellow for the Trans European Policy
Studies Association in the late 1980s, and has
authored numerous papers on monetary policy,
Belgium's money markets, finance and ethics.
