Mr.
Ted Gerbracht is a Director and Global Head
of IT Risk and Chief Information Security Officer,
Credit Suisse First Boston, New York, NY. In
this role, he manages a global risk and information
security function responsible for IT risk and
security policy, communication, strategy, and
monitoring, with staff in New York, London,
and Asia Pacific locations. He also serves as
a member of the Credit Suisse Group Global Information
Technology Security Co-Cooperation Committee.
Prior
to joining CSFB in July 2000, Ted held senior
information technology management positions
at Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc, Chase Manhattan
Bank, NA, and the IBM Corporation, all in New
York, NY. He serves on the advisory boards of
the Stanton-Heiskell Center for Public Policy
in Telecommunications and Information Systems
and the Institute for Software Design and Development,
both at the City University of New York Graduate
Center. He has chaired the American Bankers
Association Information Security Committee,
been a member of the Presidents Export
Council Subcommittee on Encryption (PECSENC),
and chaired the Financial Services Industry
vulnerability task force as a part of the Clinton
administrations Critical Infrastructure
Protection initiative. He is a member of the
BITS (Banking Industry Technology Secretarieat)
Security and Risk Assessment Executive Committee.
He has masters degrees in history and political
science, Asian history, and business administration
and a Ph. D. in history.
