Presenter Bios: Ceyla Pazarbasioglu


Ceyla Pazarbasioglu is a technical assistance advisor at the International Monetary Fund. Prior to her current position she was the Vice President of the Banking Regulatory and Supervisory Agency of Turkey during July 2001-June 2003. Between 1998 and 2001 she worked as the Chief Economist and Head of Strategy and Economics Department with ABN AMRO, U.K, where she was responsible for coverage of fixed income and equity business in Eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey and Middle East and North Africa. Between 1992 and 1998, Ms. Pazarbasioglu worked as an Economist at the International Monetary Fund, providing technical assistance to countries such as Czech Republic, Poland, Turkey, Ghana, Korea, Thailand, Russia, and former Soviet Union States. Ms. Pazarbasioglu received her B.S. in Economics from the Bosphorus University in Istanbul and she holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Georgetown University.
