Fannie Mae
Sharon
L. Stieber is Fannie Mae's vice president for structured
transactions. She is responsible for oversight of
the derivatives business within the capital markets
department. Sharon joined Fannie Mae as director of
mortgage-backed securities capital markets transactions
and development. In her first few months with the
company, she brought to market Fannie Mae's first
multifamily REMIC transaction.
Prior
to joining Fannie Mae, Sharon was a branch chief with
the RTC, where she worked for more than three years.
Prior to that, she was a vice president at Barrentine
& Lott, and assistant vice president for research
at Sallie Mae.
Sharon
received a master of philosophy degree in economics
from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and a bachelor's
degree in economics from the College of Wooster (Ohio).
