Mr. Adityam Krovvidi, 39, is General Manager at RMSI, a global IT services company based in India. Since he joined RMSI in 1996, Mr. Krovvidi has been primarily responsible for the risk management business of the company and is heading a business unit known as the Risk Management Group (RMG). RMG is a multi disciplinary team comprising 25 professionals engaged in developing quantitative risk models for cyclones, earthquakes, floods and weather. Mr. Krovvidi has master’s degrees in civil engineering and business administration. He has over 20 years of experience spanning structural engineering, risk modeling, project management and business administration. Mr. Krovvidi possesses knowledge and skills in applications of Information Technology including GIS in disaster management. Mr. Krovvidi is instrumental in grooming RMG as a critical support to Risk Management Solutions Inc., California—a partner and sister company, in developing risk models for various regions around the world. Some of his other key ass ignments include a couple of damage reconnaissance studies: the 1999 Orissa Cyclone and January 2001 Gujarat earthquake in India; and modeling catastrophe risk in select states of India for the World Bank. Prior to joining RMSI, Mr. Krovvidi worked for 11 years as Structural Engineer with a leading public engineering consultancy company in India.
