Mr. McGhee is a Managing Director of Marsh & McLennan Securities Corporation, an NASD licensed broker-dealer affiliate of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. Mr. McGhee is responsible for the investment banking specialty practice of Marsh & McLennan’s reinsurance brokerage operation, Guy Carpenter &Company, Inc. In addition, Mr. McGhee leads the insurance securitization activities of Marsh & McLennan Companies.

Mr. McGhee joined Marsh & McLennan’s reinsurance brokerage operation, Guy Carpenter & Company, Inc. in 1980 in its International Division. In 1991, he initiated Guy Carpenter’s exploration of the potential use of new securities and derivatives placed into the capital markets to protect the underwriting risks of the insurance industry. In addition, he headed Guy Carpenter’s new product development area. In 1997, he was a founding partner of Marsh & McLennan’s investment banking operation, Marsh & McLennan Securities Corporation.

He is Chairman of the Bond Market Association’s Risk-Linked Securities Committee, the members of which include all the major dealers in risk-linked securities. He has been an advisor to the Chicago Board of Trade and the Bermuda Commodities Exchange on the development of insurance derivatives contracts. Prior to Guy Carpenter, Mr. McGhee was employed by Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company as an advisor to Fortune 500 companies on the management and hedging of foreign exchange risk.

Mr. McGhee is a graduate of Oberlin College.
