Dr. Sean F. Mooney is Chief Economist and Research Director for Guy Carpenter & Company, Inc. where he oversees the research and publication of Guy Carpenter’s industry briefs and white papers. He also speaks at client and industry functions on key issues facing the insurance and reinsurance sector. He joined the company in May 1998.

Under his direction, Guy Carpenter was named Analyst/Researcher of the Year for 2001 by Review magazine.

Dr. Mooney received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of California in Los Angeles in 1978.
