ACE Tempest Re

Sean Ringsted joined ACE Tempest Re as Chief Actuary when CAT Limited was acquired by ACE in April 1998 and integrated into ACE Tempest Re. He was promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer in 2001 and Executive Vice President & Chief Risk Officer for the ACE Global Reinsurance operations in 2002.

Prior to joining ACE, Mr. Ringsted held the position of Chief Actuary of Hamilton Services Limited, the service Company for CAT Limited, and prior to that worked as a consultant for Tillinghast-Towers Perrin.

Mr. Ringsted holds a B.Sc. degree in Biochemistry from Bristol University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry from Oxford University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA).
