Since 2002, Ms. Vallet has served as Senior Vice President, Natural Catastrophes at the Caisse Centrale de Réassurance in France. She manages the team in charge of reinsurance of natural catastrophes in France, and is Secretary to the Interministerial Commission on Technical Studies. Previously, Ms. Vallet worked in the Natural Perils Department of theTechnical Division at SCOR, focusing on modelling of natural perils : simulation tools and catbond transactions. Ms. Vallet holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of California at Los Angelos; a Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies in theoretical physics, from Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris; and a PhD in Physics, University of Paris XI.
