Tad Walker is Head of Catastrophe at PartnerRe. Based in Zurich, he is responsible for the profitability, strategic development and management of PartnerRe’s worldwide catastrophe portfolio. Additionally he is responsible for the research and modelling team as well as exposure control. Mr. Walker has more than 20 years experience in the reinsurance and insurance industry, beginning his professional career as a broker with Sedgwick Group. He then spent nine years at Bacardi Limited in Bermuda, working in risk management, insurance and treasury functions, and was most recently employed by American Re where he held the position of Senior Vice President for Latin America. Mr. Walker holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
