Guillermo Kopp holds 16 years of experience in diverse information technology and business process strategic leadership roles across all the business lines in Citigroup. Prior to joining TowerGroup, Guillermo has been involved in global quality and process improvement activities at Citibank, to include the Private Bank in NY and the Citigroup Quality Office where he led projects in Japan, Mexico, and North America for the asset management, equipment finance, securities, branches, and bankcards businesses. From 1993 to 1998 Guillermo worked first as regional technology manager for Latin America serving 21 countries and then as global technology services manager, leading the corporate credit, risk and funds transfer application systems support teams. Before coming to the US in 1993, Guillermo served for five years in Saudi Arabia where he managed, under special assignment with the Saudi monetary agency, the transformation of the payments system from cash to electronic payments and bankcards. He joined Citibank in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1985 where he led a range of breakthrough developments in retail and commercial banking. His earlier work in technology was at the airline industry with Aerolineas Argentinas where he managed the Systems and Telecommunications function, and with the International Air Transport Association in Switzerland where he was the automation policy manager. Guillermo holds an M.S. in project management from the George Washington University and an M.S. in computer science from the University of Buenos Aires. He also has professional certifications from the Project Management Institute and the American Society for Quality.
