Wendy Cunningham is currently an Economist in the
Latin America Poverty Reduction and Economic Management
Group of the World Bank. In this position, she manages
the research agenda of the Region's Gender Team. Her
work focuses on labor supply decisions of women, informal
labor markets, household economics, and household
risk management. She has worked extensively in Latin
America, particularly in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.
She obtained her Ph.D. in labor economics from the
University of Illinois at Champaign.
