Amit Dar is a Senior Economist in the Social Protection
Group of the World Bank. He has extensive experience
in labor market and vocational education and training
related issues. His recent work includes publications
on "Active Labor Market Programs: A Review of
the Evidence from Evaluations" and a joint World
Bank-ILO book on "Vocational Education and Training
Reform: Matching Skills to Markets and Budgets".
He has also worked on labor market and related issues
in Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Jamaica, Laos, Nigeria,
Tanzania, Thailand and Zambia. He holds a Ph.D. in
economics from Brown University.
