James Sauber is the Washington Representative of Union
Network International or UNI. UNI, which is headquartered
in Nyon, Switzerland and has offices throughout the
world, is a global trade union federation with some
900 affiliated unions in 140 countries that represent
more than 15 million workers. UNI is affiliated with
the International Confederation of Free trade Unions
and represents workers in the banking, insurance,
commerce, postal and telecom sectors. James Sauber
has been a member of the regional executive committee
of UNI-Americas since 2000 and served on the world
executive committee of the Communications International,
one of four organizations that merged to form UNI,
between 1993 and 2000. James Sauber earned a B.A.
in Economics from the University of Michigan and a
M.A. in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins
School of Advanced International Studies..
