Laura B. Rawlings is a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation
Specialist in the World Bank's Human Development Department,
in the Latin America and Caribbean region. She is
the task manager of a conditional cash transfer program
in Colombia and the author of a recent review of Colombia's
social safety net. She is also responsible for managing
the monitoring and evaluation components of several
projects in the World Bank's social protection portfolio
in the LAC region, including social funds, workfare
programs and cash transfer programs. Prior to joining
the LAC region she worked as a long-term consultant
in the World Bank's Development Economic Research
Group on an impact evaluation of decentralization
reforms in the education sector.
