Dr.
Alderman is currently the Food and Nutrition Policy
Advisor in the Rural Development Department, as well
as a member of the Development Research unit of the
Bank. With a Master's in nutrition and a Ph.D. in
economics, much of his research has been on the economics
of nutrition interventions and food pricing policies.
He has also undertaken research on gender discrimination
in schooling and on decentralization of public services.
