Dr.
Osifo is the Sector Manager for Human Development
Programs in the World Bank Institute. In this role
she is responsible for providing strategic leadership
in developing the World Bank Institute's health, education,
HIV/AIDS and Social Protection Programs. She is also
responsible for building effective relationships and
collaboration with key external partners engaged in
the development and delivery of programs. Prior to
this appointment, she was a Senior Health Specialist
in the World Bank. She has over 13 years experience
in the healthcare industry covering policy, provision
and healthcare financing. She has extensive experience
and knowledge of the healthcare market in the UK,
US and the developing world including the Middle East
(Egypt, Jordan, UAE, Palestine, Oman, Yemen), Asia
(Philippines, Vietnam, India) and Africa (South Africa,
Ghana, Nigeria) where she conducted due dilligence
for IFC's new investment in the healthcare sector
and/or has carried out policy work for the World Bank.
Dr. Osifo is a qualified medical doctor, a member
of the UK Royal College of Physicians, holds an MBA
from Cranfield School of Management and an MSc from
Oxford University. She has also attended several courses
on healthcare management and medical informatics at
Harvard, Stanford and Northwestern universities. She
has also taught at local universities in the Washington
DC area.
