The
Attacking Poverty Course for Asia was organized by
the World Bank Institute jointly with the East Asia
Region along with our partners from Cambodia, East
Timor, Indonesia, Lao, Mongolia and Vietnam. It builds
on other activities WBI has recently conducted, namely
the Development
Debates of last year and the Hanoi
Regional Forum on National Poverty Reduction Strategies
of December 2001.
The
main objective of the course is to support the implementation
of poverty-reduction strategies in the region by developing
skills to strengthen the poverty focus of sectoral
strategies and the understanding of key inter-sectoral
issues and tools.
