The video-conference clinic connected PRSP team members from Chad with key figures in the PRSP process in Tanzania for a 3 hour discussion on the PRSP experience. Its objective was for the PRSP team from Chad to learn from others in the region with “successful” PRSP experiences and to facilitate cross country learning exchanges in Africa. The VC was very well received by the group in Chad, who appreciated the opportunity to hear from other countries in the region as they move forward with their own PRSP implementation.

The discussants from Tanzania comprising the head of the PRSP Team, a representative of the Ministry of Finance, a representative of a research organization focusing on issues of poverty and the Chairperson of a Tanzanian NGO broker organization spoke about the organization and achievements of the PRSP and the Public Expenditure Review experiences in their country. The Tanzania team also elaborated on the role of WBI in conjunction with the rest of the World Bank in supporting their efforts to design and implement their PRSP. The audience in Chad comprised a mixture of PRSP team members, representatives of line ministries and some civil society organization representatives.
