Module 1: Introduction, Content and Curriculum

time to finish this activity
Ongoing

Overview & Instructor Notes

This activity follows the presentation on WWW tour and learning resources. It can be used to provide structure to participants' web browsing activities during the workshop.

During that presentation, the facilitator should select a few URLs from the Workshop Links below and demonstrate their usefulness to the participants.

There is no expectation that the participants will report back on the results of their computer lab experience.

To help users access the Workshop Links listed in this activity, direct them to the appropriate page on the World Links web site; from here they can simply click on each link. The list should also be printed and provided to the participants. In addition, if you are using an on-line discussion forum during the workshop, you may wish to post these links into the forum.

This list should be reviewed and modified by the workshop facilitator to insure that the links continue to work and are relevant to the participants. The facilitator may wish to consult the resources in the Resources section of the World Links Policymakers Workshop web site for additional web sites. This is located at:

ictforeducation/policymakers/resources

The facilitator should also use some of the URLs for demonstration of the power of the Internet in education during the WWW and Learning Resources presentation.

Please note that this list of URLs is the basis of the Computer Lab activity; any changes to this list should be reproduced in the activity instructions.

This activity is ongoing throughout the workshop.
