Overview & Instructor Notes

The purpose of this activity is to have the participants consider the effects of the introduction of ICT on students, teachers and administrators. One goal is to have the participants reflect on what is the status quo and what is the desired level of impact from ICT. There are not any right answers.

Make sufficient copies of the worksheets for each participant.

Hand out the worksheets and ask the participants to go through each example on the sheets and make on each of them the current situation in their jurisdiction.

When they have completed marking the sheets ask them to go through the worksheets again, this time making what they envision as the most desirable for each example.

When they have completed that, ask the participants to go through each sheet again and mark what they believe is "doable" in the next 1 to 2 years.

In the interest of time, you may want to assign only one worksheet to each group-have one group do the activity for students, one for teachers and one for administrators and then share their results with the large group.

This activity takes between 30 to 45 minutes to complete.
