The World
Links Policymakers Workshop ALWAYS ends with a discussion of
the next steps that the participants will undertake over the next three
to four months to complete the policy work begun during the workshop.
This discussion
should be lead by either the country coordinator or one of the key lead
participants from the host country.
A short
checklist of items to continued after completion of the workshop is
included below:
- Provide
participants with the decisions made regarding next steps and timelines.
- Provide
participants with email addresses of fellow participants.
- Ensure
participants have copies of all documentation from the workshop.
- Develop
and circulate list of working committee.
- Coordinate
the next meeting of the working committee.
- Provide
regular feedback to World Links regional coordinator regarding the
policy development.
- Prepare
briefing notes as required for local authorities regarding the workshop.
- Prepare
required press releases regarding the outcomes of the workshop.
- List
of tasks determined at the workshop should be reviewed and completed
as required.
- Send
reminders as required to working group regarding deadlines and commitments
made to insure ongoing policy development.
- Determine
additional support required from World Links (if any) to insure successful
completion of the policy and strategic plan.
- Send
updates to participants regarding the activities of the working group.
- Send
report to World Links regarding the workshop and subsequent policy
activity.
