Grant Purpose:
The purpose of the grant was to assist the Government of the Republic of the Philippines in developing socially acceptable, sustainable and community-based interventions in Mindanao, to promote peace and development.

Grant Activities:
The project included the following components:
Component 1: A social assessment with the active participation of and informed consultation with stakeholders and communities affected by conilicts in Mindanao. The assessment included identification, analyses and prioritization of the needs of stakeholders and communities, and assessment of local institutional capacity to implement reconstruction and reconciliation efforts in conflict areas in Mindanao.
Component 2: Dissemination of the results of the social assessment, carried out under Component 1, through a public information program.
Component 3: Provision of technical and management supervision of the activities carried out under the previous two components.
