Description

The course will provide a unique opportunity to interact with UNICEF Education Officers from all regions on key issues of education reform, and helped the participants develop an understanding of the economic and rights-based approaches to improving education systems. This is a two-week face to face course which provides a sector-wide approach to address a range of issues surrounding education reform.

Objective

To gain a better understanding of the rationale, objectives, and policy options for education reform, as well as of the conditions required to launch and sustain reform initiatives; To expand knowledge on a broad range of options to enhance quality, efficiency, equity, and sustainability of education; To understand concepts and approaches in designing education strategies that focus on improving the quality of basic education.
