The course consists of 5 core modules and a supplementary pedagogical module running concurrently with the other 5 core modules. Each of the core modules will have conceptual definitions, documented examples, statistics and other background materials and exercises/assignments to apply the material to real-life situations. The course fee is $300.
By the end of the training, participants will be able to explain the concepts and dynamics of gender and its power relations, able to appreciate, interpret and share the direct linkage between gender relations and the spread, containment and management of HIV and AIDS. They will have acquired the tools to help field workers they will train, to integrate gender into their HIV and AIDS activities among the communities they work with.
